Stadium Review
- Crashing Wendy's Tailgating PartyAtlanta Falcons Stadium

When we were in Tampa watching the Tampa Bay Bucs take on the Atlanta Falcons, we met Atlanta Zeke who assured us that nobody tailgates like his crew of Atlanta Falcons fans back home at the Georgia Dome.  The gauntlet had been thrown down, so Jeremy and I took it upon ourselves to personally verify Zeke's claim.  Zeke got us tickets in Section 321 on the 50-yard line and a Premiere parking pass ($20) which would open the doors to Atlanta's premiere tailgating experience.  Wendy, our tailgate coordinator, quickly introduced us to a mountain of dogs and burgers, salads and deserts (banana pudding), but the main entree was a deep-fried prime rib prepared by Felton.  Deep fried in a vat of hot peanut oil and cooked three minutes per pound, Felton assured me that the herbal rub he applied to this delectable delight would be sure to please any pallet.  Moist and delicious, I am a big fan of the deep fried prime.

As for the game, I pounded as many brews as my bladder would contain during the pregame celebration and stumbled toward the Georgia Dome to watch as the hometown Atlanta Falcons were taking on the Dallas Cowboys.  Up the escalator and across the field, the Georgia Dome loomed in distance calling me toward my fantasy football destiny.  For you see, it was week two of the playoffs and I would personally be on hand to watch as the Incomparable Mike Vick dropped four touchdowns on my very unworthy opponent, the G-Valley Brigadiers, bringing another victory to my fantasy football team, "The Danger Zone".  Michael Vick also eclipsed the mark for most rushing yards in a season by a quarterback on this night... another record setting performance.  The game was fantastic and the fans welcomed us with open arms, however I was alarmed by the number of fans in Dallas Cowboys merchandise who turned out in record numbers to watch their beloved Cowboys notch another victory.

The Food
Georgia Dome food is standard fare, however visitors to the Georgia Dome cannot leave without a sampling of their highly regarded Pecan Pralines.

Getting to the Stadium:
Take the local rail system called the MARTA.   Take either the Blue or Green Lines and get off at the Vine City Exit or Georgia Dome Exit.  If you plan on parking, get a parking pass in advance.

Where to Stay:
Find a hotel in downtown Atlanta as there's lots to see and do.  The Georgia Dome is situated downtown and is very easy to get to.  I would suggest the Marriott Atlanta Downtown, the Westin Peachtree Plaza, or the Hilton Atlanta and Towers.

Next time you go to an Atlanta Falcons game make sure before you leave stop by the Varcity.  It is a excellent hotdog joint and it is located on the ga tech campus.
