Stadium Countdown: 26 Stadiums Down, 5 Remain

Who is Hans Steiniger?

Hans Steiniger is your average, moderately paid, tailgating, beer guzzling, Hot Dog Eating, fantasy football playing, road tripping, technically savvy, DirecTV NFL package purchasing, lover of this great American pastime that we have dubbed the National Football League.  He feels that professional football is an experience to be savored with good friends and affable strangers.  Home team or away, a common interest in the game of professional football unites us all.  Originally from Buffalo, NY Hans is a die-hard fan of the Buffalo Bills.  He's not a large man, but enjoys local delicacies tremendously and is happy to share those local gems that can be sampled at each NFL football stadium.  Included on each page is a football stadium review of  the NFL Stadiums he has visited and a review of local foods available at football stadium concession stands.  Players and fans can get pumped up by the atmosphere of stadiums around the NFL, but does home field advantage exist? Check out NFL odds and try your hand at football betting, over at BetUS online sportsbook to find out.

What is the Quest for 31 ?
In commemoration of his 31st year on this planet, Hans Steiniger has noted the parallelism between his age and the number of Football Stadiums located around our great nation.  Why only 31 NFL football stadiums?  Because the New York Giants and New York Jets both play in the Meadowlands in New Jersey, so although there are 32 teams, they only play in 31 NFL home venues. The Quest for 31 began as he moved to Detroit from his hometown of Buffalo, NY.  Hans began attending home games in other stadiums and discovered that the home team experience is different in every stadium and in each NFL city, so he decided to begin a city by city personal research project on the home team experience across the nation.  Hans immerses himself into local NFL culture by purchasing a home team NFL jersey to lend credence to his support of the local NFL product.   He tailgates in the parking lot with local fans before the game and stays to watch a great NFL football game live at each NFL Stadium.  Hans is searching for a well-rounded typical gameday experience in each NFL city.

Every region of the country has it's own traditions that contribute to the uniqueness of the NFL fan experience and it usually takes an outsider, someone unfamiliar with the norm to recognize what's typically taken for granted. That's what he is.  Hans is the Green Bay Packer fan wearing a head of cheese at Lambeau Field.  He's the Terrible Towel waver eating a Primanti Bros sandwich at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.  He's the Cincinnati Bengals fan so hopped up on Skyline Chili and local brews that he belts out the theme to "WKRP in Cincinnati" in the upper deck at Paul Brown Stadium.  He's the guy who's barking in the Dawg Pound at Cleveland Browns Stadium, even though his Bills are losing 8 - 0 in the Blizzard Bowl.  He's the Kansas City Chiefs fan that giggles to himself every time we fire up the "Tomahawk Chop Chant" because of how politically incorrect this this has to be.  He's the Oakland Raider fan in full makeup wearing chrome-spiked forearm guards to complete his transformation to the JokerRaider.   And yes, Hans is the Buffalo Bills fan that wears a furry, horned, Fred Flintstone, Royal Order of the Water Buffalo hat, drinking beer and thrilled to be home again. Hans is every fan. He's the guy who's excited by the prospect of immersion into local NFL fandom, becasue he personally wants to experience it all.  Feel free to share in his exploits in each of the 31 NFL Football stadiums around the league by clicking on the city links at the left.  If you're looking for cheap NFL tickets, check out the NFL ticket links on each NFL Stadium page.   Hans encourages all true NFL fans to join in their own Quest for 31, tailgating in every venue possible.  Register your quest on the Leaderboard by clicking

How does He do it?
Hans Steiniger has a 1997 green Ford Explorer (with a ton of miles on it), an E-Bay account, and a dream.  He acquires these tickets due in part to the kindness of strangers, the auction environment on E-Bay, StubHub.com, or through local ticket selling entrepreneurs.  These gentlemen are fairly easy to find, they're the guys outside the football stadium holding the sign that reads, "I NEED TICKETS" in one hand and a stack of tickets for that day's game in the other.  Wait until the second quarter for their best price.  Make sure to check the NFL weather on this site before gameday and take stadium tours during the offseason.

How can You help?

NFL Stadium Review of the Week

Stadium Review - The Batman

My day began in an unassuming parking lot, nestled in a quiet industrial park in Nashville, Tennessee. It was 7:00am and I was invited by NFL Superfan and Hall of Famer, Wayne Vandevort, to take part in some tailgating preparations for the day's contest against the New York Jets (easily a rite of passage for any true Quester). Wayne owns and operates an impressive trucking company, based out of Nashville, and the back lot at Red Arrow Delivery was littered with delivery trucks, pallets, and iso-containers. By day, Wayne may be a mild mannered importer/exporter, a mover of product, but during football season, when the Titans are in town, Wayne Vandevort might just be the Bruce Wayne of Tailgating.

To begin the day, Wayne had me stationed next to a fairly unimpressive looking steel iso-container near the back of the lot. As we approached the container, he rapped on the door a couple of times and gripped the handle, opening it to reveal a full kitchen complete with refrigeration & freezer cases, storage racks, grilling surfaces, and preparatory countertops. Pots and pans

Cheap NFL Tickets
Based upon my travels to multiple NFL stadiums to attend NFL games throughout the football season, I've been asked by many where I get my NFL tickets. Or more specifically how do I get cheap NFL tickets? Well, in attending over twenty games in the last two years, you get rather adept at identifying NFL ticket sources and more specifically locating the places where you can get cheap NFL tickets.
I've been most successful buying tickets through TicketCity, E-bay, StubHub, or TicketsNow and I've set up a system of links on each stadium page that allows the user to quickly check and compare between the three to see who has the best prices. If you are looking for cheap NFL tickets, I would suggest following one of the links below to the NFL tickets links on my site. Compare the prices and feel free to buy NFL Tickets online.

How to Compare NFL Ticket Prices
As you compare NFL ticket prices, it is important to consider the price that tickets are being sold for at the stadium box office and also their location on an NFL stadium seating map. You want to make sure that

Where is Hans?

FedExField - Washington, D.C., April 21, 2009
n April of 2009, I found myself in Washington D.C. for a couple days. As any good Quester knows, several NFL stadiums throughout the league offer NFL stadium tours during the offseason to quench the thirst of those who long for NFL play to resume. The last time I was in town, FedExField, the Washington Redskins Stadium, didn’t have a stadium tour program, but recently their marketing department began offering tours for groups of twenty or more with an advance reservation. Since the Stadium tour at FedExField is in its infancy, I was told they plan to start slow with stadium tours for larger groups, then as

demand increases, they’ll consider expanding to walk-up tours which can accommodate smaller groups. In any case, they offered to give me a sneak peak at what their stadium tour is like and I’m happy to report that they have the makings of a solid program that fans of the Washington Redskins will be anxious to experience for themselves.

Right off, as a pro football fan, you have to be envious of the Washington Redskins organization and their obvious commitment to winning in the National Football League. Owner Dan Snyder is notorious for his willingness to open his pocketbook in the interest of the franchise and therefore it was no great shock
